8th June 2024 - Clean Ocean Project
It was a very busy Saturday for us! Bayview Boating, with assistance from the Bushwaker, the local Kouga refuse removal truck, and Kromme Enviro-Trust, tackled the ever-growing issue of bushes and rubbish washing onto the river bank. We took advantage of the low tide and cleared roughly 25-30 bushes and a couple of bags of rubbish from the bank in an effort to make a difference. SeaDoo Jetskis were instrumental in our efforts, allowing us to reach and remove debris efficiently. Thanks to everyone that joined in on the effort. It was a very physically demanding challenge removing the bigger bushes which were sunken into the sand. The local truck assisted with a full load of the branches, which was a great help in the long run!
