Passion
My family is my number one passion in life.  My wife Jody and I are blessed with three children and three grandchildren who bring so much joy and laughter to our lives.  I’m a mountain man at heart and enjoy big game hunting. Another huge passion in my life is, without a doubt the Ride Rasmussen Style clinics we deliver. It is extremely rewarding to see progress and improvement in my students.  When they have that special moment where everything clicks, it fills me with a huge sense of accomplishment knowing that I did my job well. Raised on a farm in the foothills of the rocky mountains I do thoroughly love to slow down and watch the crops grow, when it is only me and the serene backdrop of the outdoors.

Riding
I love the riding around my home of Preston Idaho, but also enjoy other areas.  My Ride Rasmussen style clinics give me the opportunity to explore many unique and incredible zones across Canada, the United States, Russia, Iceland and all of Scandinavia. I’ve enjoyed Valemount and Sicamous in beautiful British Columbia, Riksgransen, Sweden, and our awesome main clinic area in West Yellowstone. But the very best place is where it snowed yesterday!

Gear
I utilize Back Country Access gear for my avalanche safety equipment. The BCA avalanche vest distributes weight evenly, provides protection and is one of the most trusted, tried and tested avalanche air bags on the market.

Normal Job
My occupations vary depending upon the season.  My Spring and summer months are spent on what I call my “hobby farm,” which is demanding yet rewarding.  I’ve followed in my father’s footsteps in more ways than just being a farm boy.  I also have owned snowmobile dealerships, but my main focus now for the winter months is doing clinics with my Ride Rasmussen Style Crew. Recently we have established an operation in Finland, Ride Rasmussen Style Europe, where we hope to provide basic training for clients from Scandinavian countries, especially those who travel to North America and our bigger mountains and deeper snow.
