Snowcrosser Elias Bacher has a strong start to the season in Finland!

Last weekend the first round of the Finnish Snowcross Championship took place in Rovaniemi/Finland.

For Elias Bacher (21) from Bramberg am Wildkogel, the start of the season was very promising!

A total of 153 participants took part in different classes.

20 pilots took part in the premier class “PRO OPEN”.

Bacher, who spends the whole winter season in Scandinavia, took 2nd and 1st place in the two heats and moved straight into the final!

After a very good start, Bacher ultimately finished 4th in the final run.

The reigning world champion Aki Pihlaja (FI) was able to claim the victory, ahead of Aleksi Juntunen (also Finland) and the Norwegian Emil Mikalsen.

The Austrian now continues with the Finnish championship next weekend in Parikkala/FI and after that the first race of the “Snowcross Super League” follows in Boden/SWE, where the entire world elite will be at the start.
