RIDING LYNX
I ride with Lynx BoonDocker DS 3900 and RE 3900 Shorty models. BoonDocker 3900 is perfect sled in deep snow and steep and tight technical terrain. I like all kind of snowmobiling but when it is deep snow in steep tree riding with bunch of natural jumps, I am in my absolute paradise! I feel proud to be a Lynx rider. Lynx has such a dedicated factory and it is easy to fall in love with these products.
STARTING OUT
When I was a kid, I used to ride my dad’s old Lynx 5900 GLX. I remember jumping and racing with that sled. When passing 80 km/h, the windshield always collapsed and directed all wind and snow right in my face! Once I got stuck in very wet snow and I had to walk back home. My dad timed the rescue operation perfectly next day, when I was coming home from school by bus. He drove down the mountain by tractor, pulling the giant ice rock of a sled behind. People were pointing me and laughing! I was 16 when I got my first own sled and I think it was a 2001 Lynx Racing 440. I had my first trip to Chris Burandt in 2010 and then I learned to ride mountain sleds. 2012 I did my first photshoot with Lynx and after that I became the first Lynx factory freerider and ambassador that I’ve been ever since.
LIVING SISU
In two first years riding mountain sleds, I was so dedicated to learn how to ride that I put myself to sticky situations over and over again. After riding only short track trail sleds a new world opened up and I couldn’t resist going out even if I was alone. Spent hours and hours getting myself unstuck, walking home after crashing my sled or riding home with on ski – that all have asked sisu. Tree riding alone in deep snow is not something that I would recommend but sitting home just wasn not the option for me when I wanted to become a better rider. I’m always searching for challenges and doing things a harder way than necessary, just to see what I can take.
