Lynx Rave RS: Back better than ever

The Lynx Rave RS 600RS 2022 racer returns with greater speed and ferocity than before. This high-performance sled is a symbol of tradition and innovation that was unveiled at the Rovaniemi Kelekkamessut snowmobile fair on October 30th.

Introducing the Lynx Rave RS 600RS E-TEC Race Snowmobile

The seat, suspension, powertrain, and engine of the Lynx Rave RS 600RS E-TEC have all been meticulously refined, positioning the taillights as the most frequently observed part of the sled on the track.

The Rave RS is built upon the Radien-RS chassis, boasting a unique short rear chassis and a flexible rear section crafted from polyethylene.

Key Improvements:

• Redesigned and lighter Rave RS seat
• Repositioned front arm of the PPS²-3500-R rear suspension
• Recalibrated Rotax 600RS E-TEC engine
• Precision-tuned Racing pDrive primary clutch and Team TTS-04 driven clutch

The 2022 Rave RS race sled features a revamped and lighter RS seat. The narrower rear section of the seat allows greater freedom of movement for the rider, while the additional support in the rear ensures optimal stability during acceleration.

The PPS²-3500-R rear suspension has been elevated to offer improved suspension balance. By repositioning the front arm mounting point higher in the chassis, a longer limiter strap position can be employed, resulting in increased suspension and superior performance on larger moguls.

The three-way front & rear adjustable KYB Kashima 46 HLCR shock absorbers suspension have new calibrations based on rider feedback to match the changes made to rear suspension.

This high performance race sled boasts the robust Rotax 600RS E-TEC engine, known for its exceptional power and responsiveness, thanks to its advanced electrical direct injection technology. The engine has received refined calibrations, and the powertrain has been upgraded to align with these enhancements.

The Racing pDrive primary clutch incorporates a 230/435 spring, while the Team TTS-04 driven clutch features a new 70/44-0.40 cam. These changes have been meticulously executed to amplify engine throttle response and deliver enhanced acceleration from the starting line.

The unique Radien-RS chassis boasts a short rear chassis and a flexible rear segment made of polyethylene. Unlike its aluminum tunnel counterpart, the flexible rear section is cost-effective and easy to replace in case it gets damaged. The redesigned support plate for the rear part prevents snow accumulation on the running boards.

During the 2021 snocross season, the Lynx Rave RS 600RS E-TEC showcased its prowess by claiming victory after victory. Both the Finnish and Swedish national championships were clinched by the Rave RS, culminating in a triumphant Swedish triple win at the snowcross world championship race in Rovaniemi, Finland, in April.

Throughout the Scandinavian snowcross racing season, the Rave RS snowmobile earned an impressive 9 main competition wins and 23 podium placements including the female class, with Swedish sisters Thea and Hilda Arnesson securing gold and silver.

The anticipation among Scandinavian snowcross enthusiasts is palpable as they eagerly await the showdown between two seasoned professional riders, Aki Pihlaja (Finland) and Petter Nårsa (Sweden). Pihlaja, with five impressive seasons in the ISOC series in North America, is making his return to European tracks. Nårsa, the reigning snowcross world champion, also has several years of experience in the ISOC AMSOIL Championship snocross under his belt before he ventured back to Europe. Numerous top European racers will grace the handlebars of the Lynx Rave RS 600RS E-TEC in the upcoming season alongside Pihlaja and Nårsa.

The Rave RS is equipped with KYB Kashima 46 HLCR shock absorbers in both the front and rear suspension, offering quick adjustments for high/low compression and rebound damping. The shocks' calibrations have been refined, and the material used in the front shocks has been reinforced.

The PPS²-3500-R rear suspension, boasting a 381 x 3487 x 44 mm track, ensures superior performance in varying terrains.

The spotlight will shine brightly on Aki Pihlaja who is making his return to European snowcross tracks, and Petter Nårsa, defending his 2021 world championship title
